De Kumbh Mela – The Holy Dip
De Kumbh Mela, oftewel het Kruikenfestival, is al begonnen in India. Dit heilige hindoeïstische bedevaartfestival 🛕wordt gevierd aan de oevers van de rivieren 🏞️de Ganges-Yamuna-Saraswati (of de rivierconfluentie), de Shipra en de Godavari.

This festive season, India gets its first Dutch language textbook. After years of hard work, persistent efforts and unflinching determination, the dream finally manifests. Elated, proud and thrilled to be the first Indian to author the first official Dutch textbook for the country. 🥳

Baby Ganesha Sprookje
Er was eens een heel liefdevol en zorgzaam echtpaar 👫die in de bergen woonden. Deze noemde men het Himalaya gebergte. De mooie vrouw heette Parvati, die de gemalin van God Shiva was. Ze was met magische krachten gezegend, net zo als God Shiva. In India werd ze als Godin vereerd.

Klompen or Padukas?
Padukas – the Indian wooden shoes🥿 that were worn in the ancient times and mainly by sages and saints. These are flat wooden slippers with only a post and a knob for a grip between the first two toes of the feet. Padukas are of holy importance in India and one such significance dates back to the period of Lord Rama.

Anne Frank
Reading the Anne Frank diary sets a whole new wave of emotions in your system leaving the reader feel wretched. The diary makes you ride the roller coaster and experience the mood of ups and downs as if you were a part. Touching the soul, the reader along with Anne sees a ray of hope that the family would sail through and survive especially after the Allies invasion in France, but, alas they were caught.
