A Dutch door, also known as a stable door, is a door with a horizontal division and was common in The Netherlands in the seventeenth century, thereby, highlighting the Dutch culture. This door is also known as “De boerendeur” or “De Hollandse Deur” and had a couple of objectives. It not only aided in ventilation and allowed light to pass through, but also kept children inside and animals out of farmhouses.
